Settings you will visit less often, but which affect every public page of the site.
Maintenance mode
When it is on, visitors see the maintenance screen instead of the site; admins signed in to the panel still see the real site. To see what visitors see, use the Preview button.
It comes in two forms: a simple message, or a page you design in the page builder. That page must be published, and only its body is shown — no header or footer. In the simple message, a language left blank shows the English text.
Search engine indexing
Switching this off marks every public page as not to be indexed, makes robots.txt block all crawlers and empties the sitemap. It suits a site that is not ready yet, but forgetting it keeps the site out of search results.
Site verification
Enter the meta tag a service such as Enamad or Google Search Console gives you, with its name and code as separate fields. It is placed in the page source of every public page, which is where those services look. Some names are managed by the platform and are not accepted here.
Custom code
Custom CSS is loaded on every public page after all other styles, so it can override page builder styles.
Custom JavaScript runs for every visitor; only add code you fully trust. The field accepts JavaScript only: text that starts with an HTML tag — a meta tag or a <script> wrapper, say — is not saved, because it would break every page.
Page builder breakpoints
Mobile and tablet are always available in the page editor. Each extra size you switch on here adds that device's button to the editor for every page on the site.
Who can save
Maintenance mode and permalinks are saved with the content settings permission; everything else on this tab with the site settings edit permission.
